Hello everybody,

My name is Simas, I'm a starter with poultry breeding - been doing it only for a year. I learned a lot and I see now that there is much more to be learned ahead of me. I'd like to ask many questions, but I guess I should reveal my birds first. We keep mainly chickens, but are planning on keeping some more breeds of geese. For now there is a famiy of African and Toulouse geese, also some pheasants. now the chickens:

Lakenvelders,
Barnevelders (black double laced brown; blue laced),
Welsumers (golden),
Westphalian (golden and silver),
Sebrights (silver),
Hamburgs (gold penciled and silver penciled),
Marans (golden cuckoo, silver cuckoo, blue),
Leghorn (blue and cuckoo),
Zundhaimers,
Brabankons (golden and blue),
Spanish white face,
Jersey giants (white).

This is the link to some photos of my chickens. sadly most birds I photographed were not mature, you'll notice them.

I'm not very fluent in english, especialy in colours of the breeds, so corrections would be appreciated.

Wish great day to You all,
Simas

Hi :welcome Simas

Glad you could join the flock! You have a lovely mixed flock there with all those breeds. Good luck with adding more geese to your flock drop by the geese section of the forum for all the chat about them https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/47/geese I'm not a goose person but we do have a couple down at the farm where I keep the horse. Your English is great no problems there.

Be sure to ask any questions that you may have, everyone here to help and very friendly.
Enjoy BYC :frow

Nice to hear from You! I will be browsing the geese section. search for information on Toulouse eggs incubation and hatching bring me here, because I've found amazing article by pete55, which I'm trying to contact with a lot of faith that he is still active here.
P.S. all the different breeds and colours have their own run, so I have a huge mixed flock only when birds are young and not laying. after that they have spaceous coops and runs and ociasional treats of ability to go anywhere and rout the flower gardens
