Welcome from Western Washington

Provide them with nesting boxes and wait until they think it's a good idea.

from WI. Make sure the nestboxes are in a less bright area of the coop or run, chickens prefer a litle 'privacy'. Also try to put kake eggs (wooden eggs, plastic easter eggs filled with sand and taped shut or golfballs) in the nest so they get the idea.If they free roam you may keep them confined in the coop for a few hours longer in the morning until they start using the box. Good luck
