Hello!
I have been reading all i can about chickens after the boss (DW) finally gave the ok for chickens! it will probably happen next year, gives me some time to build a coop, etc...my plan is 3-4 hens (no roosters!)and build coop/run in the playhouse style about 12x6 that will give some room to sneak some more chickens when DW isn't looking!

"well look at that-spontaneous chickens!"

my favorite book so far is "keep chickens!" by barbara kilarski...
i am sure i will be asking the gurus here a lot of questions...
so here i am!

welcome but: You had better plan for more than 3 or 4 chickens. NOBODY CAN KEEP JUST 3 OR 4 CHICKENS. It is against human chicken keeping nature.

I was going to have 8, I now have 40 more or less, and I still want more, more, more. Lucky for me, DH is hooked/addicted too. We "egg" each other on.

HA. HA. HA. HA. HA. CACKLING HAPPILY ALONG.
