Hey y’all. We have been looming around and getting information from this fine group for years now and just didn’t seem right not to be involved more. Thank y’all for all that you post and share. It really does help. God blessed us with a new home and 15 acres of earth to grow and learn more about life on.
1. We have had chickens now for about 8 yrs. We have Brahmas, Barnevelders, Americanas, and a few different color Wyandotte’s.
2. Our whole family loves messing with them. From hatching chicks to to picking eggs we really enjoy having them.
3. My favorite part of having the 21 birds, 08 original and several we hatched, is that our kids have been part of the raising the flock we have now since day 01. They helped me dig some drainage around our farm. They were little bitty fellas but worked hard, as hard as they could lol, and bought chicks with the money they made digging. Now we have a healthy bunch and they feel a sense of pride having helped start what we all love to do together. It’s a real joy!!
4. We also have 02 dogs a cat and a micro pot bellied pig that thinks it’s a dog lol. As we can, we grow a little each day.
5. We found BYC through friends That recommended we look here with any questions we might have and boy were they right.

:welcome

That's awesome the whole family is involved with raising the flock...your kids will have memories of that experience to last a lifetime.

Thanks for joining us!
