Hello! I love my new chicks!! Thanks to all your help they are healthy and alive in central Louisiana.
New mother to....
5 - 4 week old buff orphingtons
2 - 3 week old Ameraucanas
2 - 3 week old Black Polishes
1 - 3 week old Silver Sebright
1 - 3 week old mutt (unknown roo x ameraucana hen)
This chick needs help. Large bald patches and smaller than the other ameraucanas. Wings are also short and set high on back so that the wing joints nearly touch and the end wing feathers overlap slightly. Prefers the lowest perch. I think because she has a hard time "flying". While the orphingtons and other ameraucanas are living happily outside in the coop, she is inside in the brooder with the very young silkies. One of the silkies pushes her around like mad. She chirps very loudly and seems nervous if I put her with the other bantams who are outside during the day and inside at night even though she is a bit larger than them.
2 - 1 week old silkies

Old mother to....
2 cats, 2 kids, and 1 husband. In that order.

HI from Opelousas. :welcome Glad to see you hear. What city do you live in?

Please make sure you join our "La-yers" thread.....https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/160883/louisiana-la-yers-peeps

Sorry to hear about your chick. Wish that you could post a pic but I know you can't post pics right now. Are they picking on the chick? If it were me, I would remove her until you can find out what's going on. I would hate for them to injure her.

I've been in Jena 12 years or more now. Just last fall we moved onto 3.5 acres with a very dear friend as the 1.5 acres next door. Heading to the thread now. Thanks!

I haven't witnessed any pecking. Her crop also get so enlarged every night even though I've only been feeding her chick starter. That area is becoming rather bald. I've been treating with antibacterial cream. Otherwise eats drinks and poops fine. I am considering removing her to her own box. Thank you so much for the advice. I'm going to post in the medical section soon with pictures.
