Hi everyone,
I kept Googling my questions about ducks and kept finding answers among the threads here on Backyard Chickens, so...here I am!
I live in Shreveport, Louisiana with my partner and now four ducks. That's me in my avatar with Sarah, one of my beautiful Khaki Campbell hens. She passed away in early November from oviduct prolapse and ensuing complications, and I still miss her terribly. I'll tell more about my girls in the duck section.
When my brothers and I were little, we would raise duckling in the springtime, and somehow "peep peep" became "weep weep" amongst us and our misguidedly-creative father. That led to calling ducklings "weep-weeps" or "weepers", and I still find myself using that as a pet name for them.
Looking forward to learning more about taking the best care that I can of my little weepers. Thank you guys for being here as a resource!
