My husband and I recently got 15 Rhode Island Reds. This is our first chicken experience. They are growing so fast. We've got to expand their coop and maybe even their run already. I can't wait to get our first egg!!

We have several breeds of chickens - one of them is Rhode Island Red. Hubby grew up on a family farm, but I am NEW to this (2 mos). LOVING It! Our Rhode Island Reds were sweet little chicks, went thru a skittish stage, and now at 2 1/2 months are SO sweet! Even the roosters! Our little girl went into the coop yesterday and one of the RIR roosters were on a roost and she walked up and petted him (he loved it) and then she picked him up and held him while she talked to all the chicks! A really great breed!
