Hello from Madison WI

Hi all, I grew up with ducks, chickens, geese, sheep, goats...everything on my parents' hobby farm in rural WI. We ate duck eggs & cooked with them when I was a kid and I still remember how great they were especially for baking. Decades later I am back in WI and just got my first backyard ducklings -- 3 Silver Appleyards and 3 runners, for eggs. No idea how they will get along! but as ducklings they are all snuggling together pretty well. I will be putting up an outside run & house for them soon. Right now they are inside growing up a little first : ).

In seriousness, congrats on your ducks! I bet they'll get along beautifully. And enjoy those delightful eggs when they start laying!!
