Hello..from Nebraska...I built most of my structures from pallets..I did "bite the bullet" and spent 200 on hardware cloth as I have watched a Raccoon tear chicken wire..I also buried mine 1 ft deep and up the sides of the coop. It started as a place for my Black pickup topper...but works perfect as a chicken coop esp in winter as the black draws heat..side windows lift for circulation..even with-35 I've had no issues..in summer they free range..and are pretty savvy. Going in at dusk..do have everything but Bears...
