Hi~
Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Dani, I'm married with three kids. One just graduated from college and the other two (twins) will be starting High School next school year. I have had the site in my favorites for a year now and visit frequently so figured it was time to come out of lurking. After not having chickens for several years we got our new brood last Saturday.
They consist of a mixed bag:
3 white Plymouth Rocks
3 Black Australorps
2 Golden Comets
2 Babcock White Leghorns
2 Brown Leghorns
2 Lackenvelders
1 Barred Rock
and 1 Turken
I only had banties and some hens my Aunt hatched that came from an egg farm. I'm not sure what they were, maybe white leghorns. So I wanted to try some diffrent ones this time around. I think my husband went with the leghorns because he's hoping one will be a rooster and he wants to name it Foghorn. He went with the Turken because the poor thing is so ugly she is cute.
