Hello to all in this big community! I am new to chickens (although we had some as kids) and while lookingfor info on the internet, stumbled across this wonderful forum. Of course, there are forums for most things- why not chickens?
My husband and I just moved to a 12 acre farm in Maine this December. We have a huge barn, complete with coop and a portable coop. We know bugs and tick will be a problem soon, so we thought we'd get some chickens (and for the eggs too!). My order is placed, and we are anxiously awaiting the peeps. In the meantime, we have plenty of time to get ready for them, and get the coop tidied up.
