Hello everyone!!!

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I first had adult chickens About 13yrs ago them we moved around a lot. We finally just bought our first house and have some land. We will be getting chicks this spring.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We are aiming to start with 6-8

(3) What breeds do you have?
Looking to get buff orpingtons & Plymouth barred rocks

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? We live birds and having fresh eggs again will be amazing!

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Sewing, machine embroidery, woodburning, pottery, Dog & cat grooming. Anything Crafty! Raising my family

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. Married for 14yrs, I am a Stay at home mom to two boys. We have 2 cats & a green cheek conure. I groom dogs & cats part time (used to be full time )

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I was googling information on chickens and found this community! I just had to join!!
