JJeffery, I have silkies! My broody just finished hatching a few & I have more hopefully hatching in a week or so.
I have both black & blue (and by default, splash) Jersey Giant...not from Berg's...I am not a fan of hatchery birds, a beautiful blue wheaten marans roo from the now closed Briarwood Poultry in AB, French black copper marans with some Bulbs of Fire (ON) in them (that's good stuff!), the blue copper version too, a pair of Wheaten Marans, a pair of tiny serama that is starting to give us eggs, indian runner ducks, 1 muscovy left who makes a lovely broody & mom, 3 colors of guinea fowl, a few call ducks, and my bielefelder.
I want true ameraucana that lays bright blue only. I am also torn between east indies ducks or cayuga, but they *have* to start out with dark eggs, not grey. Peafowl is on my wishlist too. My list is large...my space is small.
My bielefelder came from an auction at Redvers, SK & I bought them from a poultry fancier by Shilo. Candace has them, but nothing is available now. I just missed buying two adult flocks. That is frustrating. So, I guess that I am still looking.
