I drove (14 hrs) down to Mansfield last summer to attend the Baker Creek seed festival. Missouri is one of the only states I've visited that I actually wouldn't mind living in.
I'm also new to this site and chickens as well. I have just started incubating 15 EE's and can't wait until they hatch. Should be around March 4th. I'm in Republic, just 9 miles west of Springfield. If your ever willing to part with any of the BLRW or Coronations, I would love to buy a few of those to add to my flock, they are so pretty. Again Welcome and maybe some day we can meet. I'm trying to see if I can get enough interest in starting a club for S.W. MO. Let me know if this is something that interest you.

Not to highjack this thread, but, welcome to you also, Vetai. I put 14 eggs under a broody yesterday that will hopefully hatch an assortment of EE's on March 4th. I say "assortment" because I have 2 true Ameraucana roos, an Olive eggger roo and an EE rooster with my hens right now. I gave the broody an olive egg, a couple of Marans eggs, several near white or white eggs, a couple of blue eggs, several green eggs and a couple of brown eggs.
What sort of club are you talking about? We can continue that conversation on the Missouri thread: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=73271
Good luck with your hatch,
Dale-Ann
