Hello all! Short introduction, we just bought our dream house on quite a bit of land to support our larger than life family a few months back. We decided at the beginning of March to add fowl to our happy place. We have a few chickens and a few ducks. Not quite sure of all of the breeds we might have as of yet, I'm not an experienced chicken/duck owner just yet. Hoping to learn a lot! The hubby has farm experience, but he works a lot so it's usually me doing online research. A lot of it! Glad to be here!

Nice to meet you Jolene hope you will enjoy Backyard Chickens as much as we do. BYC is very user friendly honestly. I'm an old toot and figured out how to get around here. My baby brother(69) is an IT person and my son a programmer for Microsoft, who proclaims I am too stupid to learn. If he weren't so far from home he would have gotten a good :smack But I am still here 10 years later and still plugging along. If I can do it anyone can. Really.

BYC is truly a place for fun, friendship and FACTS about chickens(and ducks,geese, quail,emus, etc.)
