I am not new to chickens but I am new to backyard chickens. I built a chicken tractor and have enjoyed several breeds. Currently I have 4 adult hens and 8 chicks (all hens). 2 ISA browns Less than a year old and 2 barred rocks more than 2 years old. the chicks are days old from TSC. 3 ISA's, 3 Black links and 2 Amber links. I did an internet search on some breed info and up popped this site. I am a bee keeper and also enjoy metal detecting. I have several dogs, a german shepherd, a dachshund a bichon and a jack russell. I am the maintenance supervisor for a local company that cares for adults with behavioral disabilities.

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)
