Hello all!
My wife and I have kept chickens for several years, but gave our flock away last year to go on an extended vacation and to build a new and better coop.
The coop is almost complete and we are eagerly looking forward to purchasing chicks in spring 2020. We have decided to get Black Australorp’s and Silver Laced Wyandotte’s and are looking for a local breeder.
Come on spring!

Welcome to BYC! I can't wait 'till spring either but same....restraint is needed. Please share pics of your old flock if you have them. Also of your coop and any ideas that you use. I'm currently working on finishing mine but always keeping an eye out for potential improvements.

:frow Welcome to the poultry capital of the Internet! It’s a pleasure to have you here!
Just chickens? Are you sure? You should probably get some turkey, ducks and quail while you’re at it. You already know chickens are great, so you should definitely get other poultry this time. :highfive:

Hello there and welcome to BYC! :frow

Springtime is right around the corner! Black Australorps are a wonderful breed to keep in the coop. Great layers, very hardy and live and lay longer into old age. They are also affectionate birds.

Good luck working on your coop and welcome to our community! :)
