Hi there,

I just had 6 buff ducklings delivered and I’m totally new to waterfowl and poultry. I’ve done as much reading and research as I could but these littles were hatched two months earlier than I was expecting. Our girls are going to be pets and egg layers.

These 6 girls are adding to our family of two children and two dogs.

Our family recently moved to the country and we are loving every bit of it.

Welcome to BYC!

Getting your quacker pack 2 months early must have been a bit of a shock.

Do you have any specific questions right now?
If so feel free to ask away we are here to help as well as oooh and awe over the tiny new ones. <<< Not a very subtle way of saying we love pictures!
Yes it was a huge shock! Ive been so excited but wasn’t expecting them quite yet so I hadn’t purchased feed or bedding yet.

I do have a question about this sneezing like stuff they are doing. It only seems to be when in the water or right after when they lay back down to preen. It started about yesterday. We’ve changed bedding to larger aspen shavings and I’ve made an additional waterer out of a deep Tupperware. Nobody has any discharge, their eyes are clear and they are active and vocal.

Thank you for any feedback! I’m excited for this new journey 6A33576D-A144-44B3-A8E6-B7BE400DF49A.jpeg D1152A44-2B09-4033-8816-3BBD76F0E8ED.jpeg 78485AB3-4229-4185-91EA-BA74CBEF19AE.jpeg

Unless it's constant I wouldn't worry about the sneezing. I watched your video in your other thread and see only totally normal behavior.

Cute babies by the way! 💕
