Moving to a community that allows backyard chickens...up to 6. I always have Been intrigued...Doing some research before I decide. I at times tend to jump from the pan to the fire... Figure it would be a good idea to know what is involved..

Greetings from Kansas, Tamara, and [IMG]! Great to have you aboard! Yes, a little research on the front end can prevent a lot of frustration later down the road. And BYC is the place to do that research. You've already received a lot of great links so I'll just say best wishes and enjoy the journey!

G’Day from down under Tamara [IMG] Welcome!

Best wishes to you and your new feathered family when they arrive.

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun. Unlike non chicken loving friends, family and colleagues, BYC’ers never tire of stories or pictures that feature our feathered and non feathered friends [IMG]
