Hi all,

We are about to embark on our chicken raising journey. I have been doing lots of reading and preparing hopefully we will have chickens with in the next couple of weeks. Our goal is to create a self sufficient homestead. This will probably take a few years to reach but I'm definitely looking forward to the adventure. Any tips, hints and failures that you have to offer will be greatly appreciated (I'm a scientist by nature and training, so failure is not the end for me it's just the beginning).
