That sounds exactly like us!! They are always so excited to see us, too. What kind do you have? I favor lavender orpingtons Cochins and FBCM. My daughter got a silkie today and it is the sweetest, funniest chicken I've ever seen!
 
I have 6 americauna pullets, and 9 that I am not too sure of lol. They are black with whites stripes by their eyes. Kinda like a bobwhite quail. They are all very friendly tho and my kids love them. They pick them up and love on them and the chicks close their eyes like they enjoy it. So I'm very pleased with my chickens to say the least
