I am a first time flock mom and I love it. I live in Southeast Missouri with my widowed mom, husband of 9 years, our 5 year old son, 16 chickens, 6 cats, 5 fish, 3 cockatiels, 1 dog, and 1 rat . I have lived here for 23 years...it's my childhood home.
We had chickens when I was a small child and last year I decided that I wanted them again. I am glad I made the decision as they bring a lot of joy to our lives and my son really enjoys the experience. He enjoys it so much that he is preparing to join the local 4H and begin his first project......ducks. So, our flock will grow some more and I am more than happy with that.
