Hello from Missouri

My wife and I have decided make some changes in how we live a major change is raising a few chickens for eggs and meat. Ordered 25 straight run heavies from Cackles Hatchery. We are a week into our new adventure and while it is a lot of work we are enjoying this new adventure. We are putting the finishing touches on the coop and plan to keep all the hens for eggs and one rooster so we can try our hand at incubating and hatching a few to keep a small flock for both eggs and meat.

I'm sure we will have a ton of questions and have already found this site and forum very helpful.
