Hello there. I'm not new persay to chickens. Every female in my family has had chickens cept my bio mom. I just have not had them for many years. I recently got a flock of 16 Rhode Island Reds. Hatched Aug 6th and and loving it! I am also picking up today 8 Bantam Cochin chicks. That way I will have some brooders if none of the reds go broodie. I have been reading on this site for weeks and finally joined.
