I'm even newer than you and am looking around the site. Wanted to give you a shout out from Missouri, but we're right in St Louis. Just started with a tiny flock of 6 in our backyard (right now in our bathroom as they grow up!).
Hope your loving your rural space, and a new flock of birds!! We love to get out into the country when we can!

I just moved to Missouri a couple weeks ago, right on the Kansas state line near Pittsburgh Ks! (yeah I'm one of those peeps)
Anyways I just got my first chicks and thought I'd say hey to my neighbor and best of luck to you!!!
