Hello Everyone,

My hsband and I live on a small 7 acre farm in Missouri. We have lived here for 8 years now and are getting back into chickens after several years away. We just the other day got a Chicken Coop, from what used to be a storage shed. It is 8 ft wide by 16 ft long and at it's peak in the middle 6 ft tall. It is completely bare inside so I have to get it ready for chickens.

This is my bantam rooster "Little Roo" He survived here when our entire flock was wiped out due to predation and lack of a secure coop. I have been promsing him a trustworthy coop and his own hens for years.

Hi :welcome
Glad you could join the flock! Sorry to hear you lost your birds to a predator. Drop by the predator section of the forum for tips on how to make your coop fully predator proof. Here is the link https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/13/predators-and-pests

Little roo looks lovely, hope you are able to get him some hens and that he enjoys their company.
Wishing you the very best of luck in getting your coop decked out ready for your new hens. Be sure to ask any questions and hope you enjoy BYC, I am sure you will :frow
