My name is jeff and I have just gotten 10 chicks to raise for eggs. I have built them a little Playpen for a few hours a day to get them used to the outdoors. I have drawn up plans for the chicken coop and will be starting on it next weekend. I bought 2 each of 5 dofferent breeds to have a nice variety in the coop.

BTW be sure you have a top on your chicks playpen. You don't want to feed the hawks or other predators.

Welcome from NY. I was just telling my wife that I was moving to NC because it's so cold here. I visited my brother in Mocksville and fell in love w/ NC. You have a great state. Happy for you and your chicks.
