I've been reading and getting a lot of good information from this site for months now....decided that it was PAST time to join!
We are relatively new to raising chickens. Started with a flock of Leghorns almost 2 years ago. Then this past spring I found myself out of work and falling in love with chickens! Now we have Plymouth Barred Rocks, Old Style Rhode Island Reds, Lavender orpingtons, French Copper Marans, Silkies, and Millie Fleur Bantams.
Glad to be a part of a group who love chickens as much as I do!

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! Many of us were lurkers before joining. I was one for 2 years ad so wish I had done it much sooner. Sounds like chicken math has taken over at yours!! That is a lovely mixed flock you have there.

Be sure to ask any questions that you may have, everyone here to help and very friendly.
Enjoy BYC and all the chicken chat :frow

Thanks! Yes, chicken math has definitely taken over here! I have about 60 eggs in the bator now. Hoping to add a couple more breeds :)

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. Very few BYC members are immune to chicken math, and all of us have OCD (Obsessive Chicken Disorder).) Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your hatch.

Maybe the job loss was a good thing? Now you can have a chicken business and sell eggs, chicks, etc. Wish you a very successful future. Welcome to Backyard chickens
