Hello from NC!

My family and I have just started down the road to raising a flock! We started incubating a dozen eggs 14 days ago. We have 8 viable eggs and are very excited to see them! We have wanted to have chickens for a long time, but where we lived in Florida it wasn't allowed. Now on an acre in the mountains of North Carolina and I am getting my chickens! I hope that we can learn a lot from this site!

We are living in a tiny town called Miller's Creek near Wilkesboro. Been here a year now and don't think I could bear to leave the mountains now lol! Thank you all for the warm welcome!
