First of all, Merry Christmas to all. I hope everyone have a very blessed Christmas with their family and loved ones.
I am Dan and live in NC. I am new to the chicken world. My girlfriend and I own the coolest 6 RIR's. We got them strictly for eggs. With 7 of us in the family we figured it would be cheaper and better for the family to just raise chickens and have fresh eggs rather than store bought eggs.
I am rather handy when it comes to building and making things. I built a mini barn and run for the chickens. They love it. I also built their feeder/waterer. I got some examples from folks on this page and just wanted to share what I was able to come up with. If anyone is interested in full details I will gladly share. I look forward to meeting and learning from everyone.
