Hello from NE Michigan!

Hello,
Today I finally bought my first baby chicks. I have 6 total, 2 golden bantam, two barred rock bantam, and two that I can not recall what they are, though they *should* all be hens. (One of the unknowns is the black one peeking up in my profile picture.) We bought a house last year in a farming area, so once they are bigger, they will have a nice area to roam in. I'm looking forward to learning all that I can about these gals!

And definitely swing by the Michigan thread! They're a chatty bunch though so be prepared to have a little trouble keeping up at first (I'm just getting the hang of it. Well, sort of. Ok not really)

And congrats on your new fuzzies! I think I did the same thing you did. Bought a place in a farming area and a year later got some chickens. That would be this year so basically I'm exactly where you are now
