Sounds like a great plan you have for your quail! We also use those black ceramic reptile bulbs in our brooders. They work very nice! We're glad you're here!

Thanks Debbie292d, I'm glad to have finally joined you all too. The reptile bulb is keeping the brooder toasty. I prefer the colour-less ceramic because the red glow from the heat lamp gives of an impression I'd rather not be associated with 😆

We stayed in a B&B in Edinburgh for 3 days. We took a train so we could see the countryside, on the trip from England. There were a couple of stops for close to an hour and we debarked the train to walk around.

Funny story: I was traveling with my mother and her friend, Dottie. Dottie was looking out the window of the train and said, "There's a kangaroo!" We snickered, a man across the aisle, looked over his newspaper at her, aghast. I said in charity, I don't think are native to Scotland. As an aside, we were no where near, Inchconnachan. I said maybe one escaped from a zoo. She was not amused.
