It's looking a lot like my mystery chicks are Black Sex Links. 2 Cockerels amd 1 Pullet. I guess it's back to the shop for a six pack of the black headed girls.

Picked up 6 more BSL chicks.
2 didn't make it. They arrived home with a bad case of pasty butt. They were clearly smaller and weaker than the others and just couldn't make it.

The rest are doing great and have had a healthy dose of probiotics to aid digestion.
 
It would be interesting to know the parentage if these Red Rangers. They're getting big very fast, and are very curious and friendly. At least at this stage.

Yes, I know that they're hatchery chicks. It's likely the hatchery doesn't even know for certain.
