Hey there!
I am mama hen to a family of 6, children aged 26 - 5 years old. We are the new family to 11 baby chicks!
We have 4 Isa Browns, 3 Silver Laced Wyandotte, 1 Ameraucana, 1 Jersey Giant, and 2 bantams (not sure what breed though!). They are all sweet, except for the silver sisters, who are little bullies!
I am going to copy and paste the starter questions so I don’t miss anything
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
This is our first chicken rodeo - we got them a week ago
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have 11 - I believe we will be harvesting a few of our girls in the fall and expanding our flock in the spring next year.

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Fresh, sustainable food!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I am an avid gardener - I have an incredible variety of seeds, especially tomatoes, squash, and beans! I also like to knit, but am definitely a huge novice.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My family is an amazing blended family! My bonus daughter is my husband’s oldest (26), my oldest (from my practice marriage) is 12, then we have our littlest two who are 6&5.
We own a management consulting firm with a focus on scaled agility. Back before COVID, I had a very active role in our small business, but when the pandemic hit, I stepped way back so that I could be home for our family.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Googling for chicken coop guidance - I want to learn!
