Hello from New Mexico.

I'm across the highway from La Luz. Mailing address is Alamogordo though lol. Heck I've been through Alto especially Ruidoso quite a few times lol.

At the La Luz Gate? We have looked at houses for sale down there while looking to get out of here over the years. This area is nice but the tourists are out of control. LOL I love the Tulie Basin and would love to end up back down there some day to live. :)

Although I don't envy you on those days the White Sands blow in like a wall of sand. LOL

Next time you are up in this area, let me know! Feel free to stop in!! :)

Hello, and welcome to BYC!

I'm glad you joined us.

My road angles off of La Luz Gate. I love it here. I've seen some places down the road from me up for sale lol. I had to move my now 2 wk old chicks outside. I have them in a safe location right by my back door, and have made it comfy for them. I am done with slipping on wet floors. Too bad they don't make sippy cups for chicks. I love big metal dog kennels. I used the roll of cardboard from the brooder on the outside to shield them, and put their red light and heat pad on them. They're gonna love being outside, and my brat cats can't get to them even though 1 really really wants to lol. I'm so glad it's starting to warm up enough for me to put them out there. It was 83 today. Tomorrow I'm going to start working on the coop.

Yes, those big wire dog crates work really well. I have 3 of them. They can work as brooders, hospital cages or as jail. LOL I would be lost without them.

Enjoy working on the coop today! Supposed to be a really nice windless day!! :)
