Hello from New Zealand

I used to have chickens when I was a young mum, and now that I'm retiring I'm getting some more because I love them. I have a garden with a big chook space in which they can help me dig and make compost for my garden!

I have just acquired three pullets – a Gold Barnevelder, a Light Sussex and a Blue Orpington x. They're very timid at present but I will try to be patient!

I live in Dunedin, New Zealand.

Hello from Auckland. It's always great to see another Kiwi on here. My girls love cheese and shell-less sunflower seeds (from the supermarket) as treats. Once your girls associate you with yummy goodies they'll warm up to you and get brave enough to eat from your hand.

Hi there in Auckland! Cheese and sunflower seeds are really good to know about. Someone else suggested beef mince or dog roll, but those might be just a bridge too far for this vegetarian
