Thank you for all the welcomes.
I can't believe how many new members since I first logged on a couple of days ago.
I am from the White Mtn. region...north of Plymouth, NH. For those of you who asked.
As to the bear and electric fencing...the neighbor did put electric around her chicken area.
I am now reading as to the kinds of chickens that will adapt well to our weather. I plan to start with 6 chickens.
As to fencing for the coop. The neighbor has a dog kennel that I will be using (free is good)which is chainlink fencing.
