Our new chicks are finally out in their coop. I've gotten so much great information from Backyard Chickens I thought it was time to join. I've wanted chickens for years, and finally took the plunge this summer. We have loved every minute of it so far! Our flock includes a Barred Rock, an Easter Egger, a Speckled Sussex, an Australorp, and a Buff Orpington. They are six weeks old now. Everything has gone really well so far, because we were well-prepared by this site and some good books. I am sure I'll be spending lots of time here from now on. Thanks to all for taking the time to share your knowledge and experience with chicken newcomers!
