Hi there from sunny California...I'm up in the north Sacramento Valley and enjoying a great summer so far 
I've had chickens for almost half my life (10+ years) and by no means consider myself an expert. I look forward to learning a lot via the forums & articles on BYC! Currently I have a flock of 8 laying hens & will be adding more in the spring when my new cordwood coop is complete 
Meat chickens are also in the plans along with a few turkeys. I look forward to chatting with many of you
