Hello from North Carolina

I am new to raising chickens, I have been lurking on the site for a while and decided to join. My husband talked me into getting chickens and now I am in love with them. We have a small little variety and flock. 4 wyandotts, 2 comets, 1 RR cockerel, 4 black australorps (hens), 4 silkies, 2 cochins (pullet and cockerel) and just yesterday a standard or giant buff cochin cockerel and BB red OEG cockerel. The last one I just had to have <---

I also think I woul like to show one of my birds. Well truthfully ...the BB red OEG bantam. Im not sure what the SOP is but hopefully he will fit the mold. He is just too dang cute

Hello... how fun! How much room do you have/ how large is the chicken area? We have not started raising chickens yet, but are moving to an acre and a half of land this summer, so I cannot wait to begin our chicken family! I loved reading your thread and it made me really want June to get here!!
welcome to BYC to both of you
I just added the national chicken show in Columbus, Ohio, USA to my "bucket list". I need to see every breed of cute chicken !!!

Great goal for a bucket list!! We are looking for some local shows to attend and are researching and reading... the problem is that it makes it even harder to wait!
