Hello, you can do a lot with 2 acres...looking forward to reading about your homesteading efforts!

My gosh, I posted that a long time ago. I'm just now getting chickens.

It's been rough. These two acres are clear now, but wow. My little cabin still isn't done (335sqft), there's insulation on the walls, but no drywall yet. Still peeing outside and driving to a nearby rest area for the other. Still getting water from a frost proof hydrant. Life is great, though.

There's a septic system here, but I'll need to build a detached bathroom/extra bedroom near it.

I was injured at work several years ago (disabled), so I'm slow to get things done and, obviously, poor now. Lol. Snagging this 2 acres has made all the difference between having a good life (though spartan) and dying under a bridge. I am truly blessed. I couldn't pay rent anywhere and be able to eat, have lights or water. I have all that here.

I've planted 7 apple trees, 3 pear, 2 plum, and 4 peaches. I've also planted 8 grapevine.

I'm still hoping to get an old 8n tractor one day to grow vegetables. Still hoping to have rabbits.

It sounds like you're making lots of progress...good job on clearing your acreage, planting fruit trees and grapevines. And next chickens!
