Similar here - I am in Nottingham UK. I just got my husband to say yes (after years). I have 2 silkie eggs on day 17 in the incubator and another 9 being shipped on Tuesday. My rookie error was only buying 4 eggs and thinking I would be 'lucky' enough to have them all hatch. One was an early quitter and another was infertile. However, I have 2 healthy and viable eggs still and more on the way - I am so excited. See video for a bit of my early candling movement

Hello All,
I'm Louise from North East England. I've wanted chickens forever but only now has my husband relented. Due to everywhere being closed I'm giving hatching a go and just received 6 silkies eggs today

I received6 in the post and candled them. 1 has a detached air sac, 1 a heart shaped air sac and 1a blood spot so I'm not that confident nowView attachment 2096272View attachment 2096272

Don't give up. I had 8 shipped to me, first-time experience, and when I posted pictures of candled eggs, several people said that most of them were no good, but all 8 hatched! Keep the faith, think good thoughts, and good luck!
