Hello fellow chicken lovers!
My fiance and I (myself Jenny mostly using this user name although my fiance, Joe will be asking the odd question on coop and run building) have recently moved in to our own little small holding, around a acre all in all on the edge of the Yorkshire moors. We have always had chickens or ducks around in some shape or form through out our lives for example Silkie, "normal hens" as I call them, call ducks and Buff Orpington ducks.
I am experimenting with hatching my own eggs and bought myself a Brinsea Advance EX with humidity pump to, in theory, make things simple. I am due to receive some eggs off Ebay, I have heard mixed reviews of getting eggs off Ebay but I like to take a calculated risk and have only bought from sellers with lots of good feedback

I have fallen in love with Orpingtons and I plan to try and get a good group going with stock good enough to show locally. Wish me luck, no doubt I will be asking a lot of questions
