Hello! I'm from northern CA, and our kiddos have been asking for raising chickens during the pandemic, and then here we are!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes, we've got four chickens in mid-Nov 2020, and then 3 more baby chicks last week.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
7.
(3) What breeds do you have?
2 Silkie. 2 Ameraucana. Not sure about the three baby ones.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Our whole family just loved watching them and discovering their own characters, their likes/dislikes, temper etc.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Reading, running.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
These are the only pets that we've raised so far.
