Hello mrsolldale! Greetings from Kentucky. We bought our first chickens the day after Easter. Our local farm supply store was having a .50 cent each sale on them. Imagine that! We bought eighteen that day. Six red sex links, six buff orpingtons and six assorted bantams. We have since added a lot more chickens. Wishing you the best of luck on a high hatch rate! What kind of incubator are you using? At the moment we have a black silkie hen sitting on 14 eggs!

Hello! I'm so sorry I'm so slow at responding on here, I had my settings wrong, and I didn't realize I had gotten more responses than just hello :)
I can't remember the name of the incubator, but it's the styrofoam one with the auto turner; I think it holds 40 eggs? It gives me stress though, I don't feel like the temp stays steady at all! I was thinking about getting the little Mini Brinsea auto incubator. Any thoughts on the subject?
