Hello! I am from the Central area of the Illinois/ Wisconsin border. I am back into raising chickens after 8 years. The only animal products I eat are locally produced cheese and humane certified eggs, so I figured I would start up a small flock of hens so that I can have eggs that I know are from hens raised with kindness. I am looking for a couple more hens, 12 weeks or older, EEs or something funny looking like a Polish or Frizzle or something, or a breed that lays interesting colored eggs. I dont care if they have curled toes or slightly crooked beaks, they are just pets. I also have an EE cockerel for sale or trade. Please message me if you have any helpful info for me to find some hens in my area! Thanks!

So glad you could join our community! Congratulations on beginning to raise chickens again. It can be so enjoyable to raise a small flock of lovely egg-laying chickens! Yorkshire Coop has given you some good links to check out, to find some birds for sale. I hope you can find what you're looking for! Easter Eggers and Polish are such nice breeds that I'm sure you'd enjoy greatly.

I do breed them. They are my secret. Don't tell the government.
