In the Brooder
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I’m new to having chickens after a very long time of wanting to get them. We have just built our coop this weekend. Just have to do a few finishing touches this week then I’m painting it. I can’t wait. We have chicks they are 2 weeks just entering there 3rd week
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? We have 6 chicks
(3) What breeds do you have? We have an Easter egger a speckled Sussex 2 barred rock 2 copper marans
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? I’m really looking forward to having chickens for there eggs as well I find them really fascinating and interesting. I’m loving watching the chicks grow and change everyday
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? I love sports lots of tv shows crafts lots really
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. My hubby and I have 4 kids 3 boys 1 girl age 17,13,7,4 we have 2 cats and one dog along with the chicks, I’m a cca I do home support love my career and helping people my hubby works in a fish plant doing sanitation
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I have seen many posts threw searching things for my chicks and just decided I should join
