Hello From Nowhere!

Brambles

Hi,

I'm Dave and I've had a flock of Chickens out here in the middle of nowhere for about three years now. The flock is made up of the offspring of several heritage breeds that I thought I would like and would do well around here. They are all around me on 30 acres of swamp and granite outcroppings as I write this. Might be a couple of hundred of them, I'm not really sure. They scamper around a lot and are pretty hard to count.

If anybody wants to write about flocks of Chickens getting out of hand because they are so gosh, darn productive then I am your man.

Hi Dave, nice to meet you. Do you keep any chickens under usual conditions - like coop & run? I'm assuming the numbers got out of hand and they branched out became feral(?) on their own.

Oh. My Chickens aren't feral they are just so productive that the flock can't be counted. I have a bunker that they return to at night but they free range all day (that's free range as in "no fence just wander where they want outside" as opposed to free roam which in Canada means, "a great big cage with lots of Chickens in it").
