Hello everyone!
I am a chicken newbie whose wanted chickens for YEARS! I recently moved to rural Nevada on two acres and all of my neighbors have chickens... so I think I ended up getting chicken fever pretty bad! So I went into planning and dreaming, and more planning... I finally have a set-up started and a few pullets I've ordered from a hatchery [not here yet!] when I was surprised by being gifted a few Brahma chicks. I am a little overwhelmed by sudden change up on my plans, but working now on even *more* shade and cooling options for the brahma's, so they can be happy and healthy when they eventually are moved into the coop since Nevada can be pretty hot during the summer months.
I'm excited to watch the little ones grow, and excited for the future chickens... I'm glad I found this forum for even more resources for happy hens! Attached is a photo of one of the cute brahma chicks!
