Hello from NW Indiana

Hello everyone,

I became a chicken mom last spring when my animal rescue group needed a foster or adoptive home for five chicks that were relinquished just after Easter.

Since then, I have been working hard to educate myself on all things fowl. We have since adopted two turkeys and two ducks as well. Sadly, we lost two of our chickens over the year. One to a predator and another just disappeared from our barn.

Now we have our two turkeys, two ducks, four chickens, and we just took in four chicks: three chickens and and a turkey.

I'm here to meet more chicken people and learn from your wisdom.
